Requirements
Its not often we get the chance to travel to Arran to work, but its always a pleasure to go there, logistically we had to be at our best for this, if we left without specific tools we were sunk! a two way ferry ride and nearly an hour each way is a good focus for the mind!our host Brian and Dorothy actually put us up in their lovely home and we were treated like lords and well fed too, Brian gave us our brief on what he required and the setting out of the balcony was our first priority, followed by taking up a six inch concrete floor in the existing garage which was no mean feat, after achieving this we then set about using tumbled Indian paving cobbles to build a new drive way and and an underpass path below the new glass and steel balcony, a job when finished gave us great satisfaction and hopefully in the coming years a few visits.
